Attention authors and designers! Chances are if you've done any of your own mockups and graphics over the years, you were familiar with CoverVault, a website that provided free Photoshop SmartObject book mockups. The site shut down within the last year or two, but I've still got a bunch of the source files (around 40). It’s far from the full collection Mark so graciously offered, but there’s still a good variety of layouts. I’ve had two different people in as many weeks ask if I’d be willing to create some sort of shared folder for these, so I figured hey, why not. They were offered for free in the first place so there can’t be any harm in sharing them. They should be compatible with all current versions of Photoshop; I’ve been using them with an old copy of CS5 with no problem..
Most of these have been cropped from their original size since I like to make transparent PNGs with minimal extra space, but all the backdrops and detail layers (shadows, etc.) should still be intact even if visibility is currently toggled off.
